Some of the more awe-inspiring events that take place with nature transpire just before or soon after daybreak and again in the evening just before dark. The staggering colors of the sunrise and sunset on certain days can almost cast a spell on ones mind. For me, those are my favorite times of the day. Not only because of conditions of the sun and moon but also due to the fact that the wildlife often comes alive and shows distinct behavioral patterns that can be entertaining as well as intimidating. Quite often it can become an interesting time.
For part of the month of October 2017, I took a trip to the states of Montana, Idaho and Wyoming to see the vibrant colors, wildlife and stomp around with some true outdoorsmen. The sleeping accommodations weren't always what many would characterize as luxurious but when you want to experience the outdoors it sometimes requires you to be in the open-air around the clock. I especially tip my hat to my one good buddy, his son and also his friends who showed me invaluable lessons about being out in the true natural world. It was an experience never to be forgotten. Getting up most every morning we did our best to be in position and ready to go at first light.
